History
The Virtua Foundation is a 501(C)3 public charitable foundation. It currently distributes funds towards targeted non-profit organizations in the community. Its focus until July 2011 is to construct the model sustainable orphanage in Tanzania and a small preschool in Uganda. The long term objective of the Virtua Foundation is to become a sustainable, model foundation. Its mission is to share the love of Christ and provide development, assistance and empowerment to other non-profit and international NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) in six key areas of socio-economic impact: education, environment, health, people, regional needs, and social finance. The Virtua Foundation’s long-term goal is to truly empower other non-profits into operational efficiency and private-sector mindset with regards to best practices, overhead and achieving economies of scale. Through collaborative involvement, local shareholders and community persons will directly contribute to the project’s development, providing for greater investment of their time and talents. The Virtua Foundation, through direct involvement in the development itself or partnering with local organizations (local to the region of impact) will accomplish our stated purpose by leveraging our highly experienced working board of trustees, internships, volunteers, directors and world-wide network of contacts and resources.
